Interactive Xbox urinals have been installed in Dux Central, Bealey’s `Speight’s Alehouse and Auckland Little Easy bars. The technological novelty caused a stir among franchise visitors and, thanks to its introduction, the number of such bars is set to grow. The project’s originators say they first saw the idea in Europe and decided they could introduce it in New Zealand. Indeed, the first interactive urinals appeared in bars in 2015 at the Alehouse Bealey’s `Speight’s, which reopened after an earthquake. Co‑owner Darryl Park believes this Digital Signage solution provided novelty for regular customers and attracted new visitors. Since then their number has grown to over 50 units.
The gaming urinals offer restaurant guests a unique customer experience and a new level of entertainment.
