Read more about the new multimedia system below. The station also added an electric vehicle charging point. Best eco‑solutions were implemented here too, including power supplied from renewable energy sources and more. Innovations touched every part of the complex — from the fueling area to the shop.
Magdalena Dutkowska, Head of Visualization and Concept at LOTOS Paliwa, noted that special attention was paid to customer comfort when designing the modernized LOTOS forecourt. Digital signs and interactive Digital Signage solutions were used to develop a cohesive interior concept. Effective visualization changes and process automation were the main goals of implementing these technological upgrades.

And they succeeded! Visitors note the unique atmosphere, improved service, an overall positive impression and a desire to return (invaluable for business!).
Designers matched colors and shades in the interior with furniture and equipment. They also used special lighting to showcase products in the best light. Enhanced aesthetic solutions, planning and the arrangement of functional shop zones and back‑of‑house areas complemented the updates listed above.

This technology is what gave the LOTOS forecourt its innovative status.
- In the checkout area there are digital monitors broadcasting advertising and informational content: current and special offers, promotions, discounts, giveaways, and more.
- In the sales area, above refrigerated displays and at the coffee island, attention‑grabbing screens show vivid visual and dynamic content.
- In the guest relaxation area there is an info kiosk and tablets. Using them customers can browse and select gifts under the loyalty program, check the weather, read news and plan routes.
- The children’s play corner also has a touchscreen for entertaining the youngest visitors.
- The façade is fitted with external LED screens totaling over 8 m2 and a multimedia totem displaying offers for fuel purchases, shop assortment and Subway restaurant promotions.

By 2021 it will also be one of the hydrogen refueling points, since the station joined the Pure H2 program, 20% funded by EU funds. In December last year, at the COP24 climate summit in Katowice, an investment agreement for the project worth €10 million was signed.
The LOTOS forecourt’s innovation also extends to modern solutions for reducing environmental impact.
- A contribution to cleaner air comes from photovoltaic panels installed on the building. In summer they produce 17 kW of power and help reduce electricity costs.
- Hybrid street lights already draw energy from the sun and wind. If alternative energy reserves are insufficient, they automatically switch to the grid.
- A rainwater harvesting system reduces the station’s use of utility water.
- A two‑bay car wash services a car in three minutes.
- Even the bicycle service point is powered by solar energy.
