Each year the use of Digital Signage solutions for centralized content‑management projects across various business sectors becomes more in demand worldwide, and Ukraine is no exception.
Our Innovative DMC team has been successfully implementing projects of varying complexity and geographic scope for over seven years. Since the company’s founding we have completed more than 300 projects. Throughout this time our company has held a leading position as a supplier of advanced software‑and‑hardware solutions in Ukraine and the CIS; 2019 marked our entry into the European digital‑signage market.
2019 was full of interesting events and projects. We released the long‑awaited versions of iDS SMART and Shelf Talker, which opened the EU market to our company.
Last year we implemented over thirty projects across various business sectors and directions.
Over all seven years, the undisputed leader in Digital Signage project implementation has been the foodservice sector and the HoReCa direction. Second place goes to projects for networked gas stations. Third place is occupied by network food & non‑food retail, which pushed telecom projects into fourth place. Today we have gathered key projects from 2019 that we want to share with you, so:
Gas stations «ROYAL PETROL»
Obviously, digital menus, bright dynamic content and appetizing hot dogs or hamburgers prompt consumers to make unplanned purchases. “Installing this beauty must cost a fortune?” — you might think. Allow us to dispel that stereotype (beautiful means expensive) and give you the real numbers.
EXAMPLE: The installation budget for a digital menu consisting of five 40–42‑inch monitors six years ago was about $9,000. Today the budget for implementing a similar project by Innovative DMC for networked gas stations is under $3,000.
In recent years we have observed global digitalization across all business sectors. Networked gas stations are no exception. The days when a gas station offered little beyond refueling (at best a car wash) are past. Consequently, we see top (and other) post‑Soviet gas‑station networks rebranding. Considering that the budget for implementing innovative technologies—which optimize costs, improve communication quality with consumers, increase sales of ancillary goods and services and, as a result, network profitability—has decreased by more than THREE times (compared with the previous period), the active transition to digital menus and advertising monitors at gas stations is natural.
Food Retail — «Sim23» chain of stores
The desire to use advanced solutions for automating centralized management of audio, video and interactive content within a large networked business led Klever Stores to collaborate with Innovative DMC (LLC “IDMC”). It is fair to note that cooperation did not happen on the first attempt. However, in less than a year the project began scaling across the entire network, delighting the client with the new possibilities of the iDS Cloud system: an intuitive interface, flexible settings and rich functionality for centralized/remote content management. Numerous convenient features increase efficiency, reduce costs and most importantly — boost the retail network’s profitability.
Not‑Food Retail — “Budynok Igrashok” (Toy House)
PROVEN: the larger the network, the faster the return on investment in Digital Signage solutions. Moving away from printed POS is not only socially responsible but can reduce logistics and offline update costs by up to 20%. A mathematical assessment and the clear advantages of centralized video and audio content management across national‑scale networks led our company to cooperate with one of Ukraine’s largest toy and children’s goods chains — “Budynok Igrashok”.
- Centralized management of audio (advertising‑informational and background) content with flexible playlist formation (including varying volume levels);
- Multilevel control of video‑content playback on advertising monitors along counters and in shop windows;
- Centralized management of content playback on interactive panels and touch monitors installed in designated store zones according to the updated brand book.
HoReCa — implementation of Digital MENU BOARD in the MASTER BURGER fast‑food restaurant chain
According to MASTER BURGER’s owner, the transition from static “citylight” displays to a bright, dynamic and attractive Digital Menu Board exceeded investors’ expectations. The WOW effect of combining content across four menu monitors (based on visitor feedback) greatly increases the likelihood of catching customers’ attention, and the ability to update prices in real time both at a single restaurant and across the entire network became an indisputable reason to adopt the iDS Cloud system.
Preliminary marketing estimates by MASTER BURGER indicate a payback period for digital menus on a food court of around one year, and for a “container” format outlet — from 6 to 9 months. It is worth noting that sales of burgers rose by 30% after opening the first digital‑menu location (comparing before and after the first month). Another important fact supporting the move to digital menus is the record‑short turnkey launch time of just 7 days — our personal record and a source of pride.
Positioning a business in a digital format on a food court leads the pack among competitors. Bright, dynamic visual presentation of a restaurant’s assortment is a very effective tool for attracting customers and, consequently, increasing profits.
Installing a Digital Signage system is definitely the right path for growing and scaling a restaurant business.
Entertainment — Favorit Sport
Following completion of the work we received positive feedback from the client: the project was implemented at the highest level despite significant constraints related to performing complex construction works in a working establishment without stopping operations (24/7). The project and installation of two video‑wall frames were executed under limited space and communication access conditions.
Despite many limitations (primarily space for installation) and the cost and risk of damaging professional panels, the professionalism of our installation crew was highly appreciated by the client.
This was a positive experience that confirmed that with proper calculation and planning even seemingly infeasible tasks can be accomplished. It was interesting and rewarding to take part in developing structural solutions for such a vivid project in the city center and to receive high praise at project handover.
Medicine and Healthcare — Gravimed Clinic
Gravimed clinic in Kyiv approached us to implement a DIGITAL SIGNAGE software‑and‑hardware system based on the iDS Cloud platform.
We provided rapid preparation and installation of the technical equipment to launch and broadcast their updated video content.
The clinic owner and staff are satisfied with our work and have received many positive reviews from their clients.
Equally important and one of the most anticipated events for the company in 2019 was the release of the long‑awaited iDS Cloud version
This solution is designed to elevate consumer communication at the point of sale in Retail & FMCG to a new level.
Marketing studies by authoritative firms confirm the high effectiveness of dynamic content in the form of electronic price tags on “digital shelves.”
Why? The answer is simple.
Bright, dynamic content attracts consumer attention at least three times more effectively and triggers an impulsive action — PURCHASE.
We are sincerely glad to be an integral part of these excellent projects, which successfully develop in tandem with modern Digital Signage technologies.
We are happy to expand the horizons of your business opportunities!
